Position: Physical Education/Health Teacher

Reports To: Building Principal

Minimum Qualifications: Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate appropriate for assigned

grade level and/or subject area

Freedom from communicable diseases

 

Supervises: N/A

 

Job Goal:  To provide PE/Health instruction that focuses on the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of students

 

Terms of Employment: Per the collectively bargained agreement

 

Evaluation: The performance of the teacher shall be evaluated by the building principal.

Performance Responsibilities:

 

In addition to the Responsibilities of the Classroom Teacher.

 

1. Collects and analyzes course requirements and updates course outlines for health and physical education.
2. Coordinates maintenance and repairs of equipment reports broken equipment and inadequate supplies, and requests necessary equipment and supplies.
3. Coordinates inventory of equipment (end-of-year).
4. Inspects locker rooms and P.E. facilities and reports problems.
5. Coordinates reports of theft and vandalism in the locker area.
6. Distributes locks and provides combination information to students.
7. Coordinates lost and found PE clothes and shoes.
8. Other reasonable duties as assigned by the building principal.
